In South Africa, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) distributes grants and allowances to disadvantaged people who need financial assistance.
Beneficiaries can obtain their SASSA payments from selected supermarkets, such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, USave merchants, Checkers and Shoprite, using their SASSA card, CashSend, or by having the funds directly transferred to their bank accounts.
July Payment Dates
You may wonder when SASSA grant payments will be made if you are a SASSA beneficiary or know someone who is. SASSA's payment schedule for February and March 2023 (payment dates for further months have not been announced yet) is as follows:
July 2023:
Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Tuesday, 4 July 2023
Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5 July 2023
All other Grants: Thursday, 6 July 2023
